It was a record-breaking evening for Federation's Women's Campaign! 280 women attended our Main Event on May 10th, at the Crystal Plaza, our largest attendance in recent memory. Altogether, we raised nearly $50,000 at the dinner itself, while the women in the room reflected a total of $700,000 in giving to Federation's 2006 UJA Federation campaign. Honorees at Main Event were Marilyn Flanzbaum, who was named Woman of Valor, and Wendy Rosenberg, who received this year's Rhoda Rosenbach Young Leadership Award. The success of the evening was attributed to the honorees, as well as to Main Event Co-Chairs Sharon Rockman and Karen Sanders, Table Hostess Co-Chairs Randy Belfer, Karen Ehrenberg & Karen Ostrove, not to mention more than 70 table hostesses. The evening's keynote speaker was Ruth Andrew Ellenson, editor of the award-winning Modern Jewish Girl's Guide to Guilt, who discussed the challenge of balancing self, family and community.  Click for pictures from Main Event 2006.
