Women's Campaign

We are women of all ages. We are professionals who work full-time jobs and we are full-time mothers. We are married and single. We come from different backgrounds and have diverse interests. We recognize our potential to affect change in the Jewish community. We take responsibility for ourselves and for others.

Through the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey, we help heal the world and bring dignity and opportunities where none existed before. We understand that it is through strength in numbers that we will advance the goals of Federation to safeguard and enhance our Jewish community for our children, for our grandchildren, and for generations to come.

Every woman who gives her time, her passion, her intelligence, her commitment and her financial resources is an integral part of the Women's Campaign.

We are the Women's Campaign of the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey. We invite you to join us in our mission.

Erica Needle, Incoming President

Sandy Gelfond Honored
Women's Campaign is proud to name Sandy Gelfond of Watchung this year's Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award recipient from Central New Jersey. The Kipnis award is bestowed on one woman from each federated area at the annual Lion of Judah conference, which will be held in Washington DC, from September 10 - 12 this year. Sandy was honored on Thursday, May 18th by her fellow Lions of Judah, as well as several Pomegranates, at a brunch, hosted by Cathy Tabak. Click here for pictures.

Main Event 2006
It was a record-breaking evening for Federation's Women's Campaign! 280 women attended our Main Event on May 10th, at the Crystal Plaza, our major fundraiser's largest attendance in recent memory. Altogether, we raised nearly $50,000 at the dinner itself, while the women in the room reflected a total of $700,000 in giving to Federation's 2006 UJA Federation campaign. Honorees at Main Event were Marilyn Flanzbaum, who was named Woman of Valor, and Wendy Rosenberg, who received this year's Rhoda Rosenbach Young Leadership Award. The success of the evening was attributed to the honorees, as well as to Main Event Co-Chairs Sharon Rockman and Karen Sanders (pictured above), Table Hostess Co-Chairs Randy Belfer, Karen Ehrenberg & Karen Ostrove, not to mention more than 70 table hostesses. The evening's keynote speaker was Ruth Andrew Ellenson, editor of the award-winning Modern Jewish Girl's Guide to Guilt, who discussed the challenge of balancing self, family and community.  Click for pictures from Main Event 2006
