An estimated 1.4 million Jewish Baby Boomers live in the United States, according to National Jewish Population Survey 2000-01, and the oldest among them will soon turn 60. Many are expected to delay retirement and continue pursuing careers and interests. Federations are now exploring ways to meet the changing needs of Baby Boomers with new volunteer programs matched with individual skills; partnerships with universities offering life-long learning; and expanded community-based services.
