Philanthropic Funds
Philanthropic Funds enable donors or their designees to recommend grants based on their personal charitable interests. Contributions to a Philanthropic Fund give the donor an opportunity to take an immediate tax deduction in the year the gift is made. These assets are then invested tax free by the Endowment Foundation, which generate additional income that can be used (along with the principal) to make distributions to charitable organizations, including Federationís annual campaign.
In addition to organizations of personal interest, the Foundation offers many opportunities to give to special projects in the Jewish community at home and abroad that are in need of philanthropic assistance. Foundation professionals can help you and your family find projects of interest and follow your charitable dollars in order to best ensure that your philanthropic goals are met.
